Valeria Jimenez, a first-generation student at Manchester has been awarded a "Realizing the Dream" scholarship from the Independent Colleges of Indiana. She is a sophomore from Akron, Indiana, majoring in psychology and psychology & religious culture.

Colleen Caylor is the first recipient of Manchester University's new full-ride Honors Scholarship. It covers tuition, fees, room and board for up to four years. The Norwell graduate said she was looking for a college that would help her find her path and pursue her passions on her own terms.

Students earning a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher who have completed at least 12 semester hours with no more than three hours of Pass/Not Pass grades are included on the Dean's List. Students with more than one hour of Incomplete or Not Recorded grades at the end of the semester are not eligible for the Dean's List. This list would include those in the accelerated program to earn a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

Alexa Uribe's journey as a first-generation Manchester University student has been an adventure with some ups and downs, but she never quit. "I was made for more," Uribe says.

The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at Manchester University is for those who already have a bachelor's degree in another field and would like to pursue a career in nursing. Students can earn their ABSN in just 16 months. Several students are featured in a video about the program.

When Manchester University student Hannah Hilliker learned that Manchester plans to raze the old Administration Building, she got busy trying to save a beehive on the west side of the century-old structure. Hilliker wrote to the MU maintenance staff and President Dave McFadden asking if the hive could be relocated. She even offered to raise money to help cover the costs.
