The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced the spring honorees for Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC. Academic All-Conference selections have at least a cumulative 3.5 GPA and are varsity athletes.

Bryant Smith was named U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Division III National Players of the Week, the USBWA announced on Tuesday, December 19. It is the first time a Manchester men's basketball player has been selected by the USBWA as the National Player of the Week.

Manchester University's 25th annual Student Research Symposium on April 28 will include Michael Thompson and a presentation on "Treatment of glutaminase inhibitors reduces chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in mice." Thompson is in the pharmacy doctoral program.

Diana Wilson has been working this summer as a student researcher with Jennifer D. Robison, Ph.D., assistant professor of biology at Manchester University in North Manchester, Indiana. Wilson is studying the problem of excess nitrogen in fresh water and is researching how to naturally eliminate it without chemicals, focusing on native Indiana plants.

Kendall Brown has been hired as the peace studies coordinator at Manchester University for the 2022-2023 school year. Brown graduated from Manchester in May with a Bachelor of Arts in peace studies and Spanish, with minors in religious studies and TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages).

Six Manchester University students placed in the top 10 of the "Elevate Your Pitch" national sales competition sponsored by the Florida Press Association. Manchester's Jakob Armstrong placed first overall, Lainey Shock placed second and Braden Sayre placed fourth. Other students who placed in the top 10 were Edna Eben Ebai (sixth), Ethan Erb (ninth) and Justin Major (10th).

The Harry H. Henney '35 and Jeanette Henney Department of Education at Manchester University held the Pinning Ceremony at its end-of-year Celebrate Education event. The ceremony is a symbolic way of welcoming senior education majors into the field of education. Five Manchester University students were selected to perform with the 2022 Indiana Intercollegiate Band. The concert took place during the Indiana Music Education Association professional development conference Jan. 13-15 in Fort Wayne.
