MU Professor Jennifer Simmers named Howard and Myra Brembeck Endowed Professor of Business
North Manchester, IN (07/03/2025) — Jennifer Simmers, professor of accounting at Manchester University, has been appointed as the Howard and Myra Brembeck Endowed Professor of Business.
Simmers graduated from Manchester in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in accounting with distinction and earned her MBA from Indiana University in 1999. After graduating from MU, she worked as an auditor, business controls and compliance consultant, investment accountant and controller.
She joined Manchester's faculty in 2008. A certified public accountant, Simmers teaches courses in financial and managerial accounting and finance.
The position is endowed by Howard and Myra Brembeck. Myra attended Manchester in 1929 and 1930. Howard briefly attended the University of Chicago but dropped out to help his family during the Great Depression. He went on to found the company now known as Chore-Time Brock International and, through his innovations in livestock feeding and grain storage, helped revolutionize food production.
