Manchester University research symposium is April 26

North Manchester, IN (04/10/2024) — Manchester University's 26th annual research symposium is Friday, April 26 from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

The research symposium showcases undergraduate and graduate student research across disciplines. It was started by Jo Young Switzer in 1999 to give students and faculty an opportunity to collaborate on research. The event is free and open to the public.

"Students spend a lot of time doing research and adding new knowledge to their fields," said Jennifer Robison, assistant professor of biology and research symposium committee chair. "The research symposium provides a space for this hard work to be recognized and celebrated."

This year's keynote speaker is Junior Ruby Rusk. Her presentation, "Essential Oils and Antibiotics: Synergizing to Combat Bacteria," will begin at 6 p.m.
