Manchester University MAT students win IATA Quiz Bowl

North Manchester, IN (11/06/2026) — Students from Manchester University's Master of Athletic Training program won this year's Indiana Athletic Trainers' Association Student Quiz Bowl.

They will move on to compete in the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association Quiz Bowl in March.

The IATA began hosting the Quiz Bowl competition for students in athletic training educational programs in 1996. It is a three-round tournament open to all students currently enrolled in a CAATE-accredited athletic training education program within Indiana.

The winning MU team included Brandon Klug, Tristan Chambers and Ashley Klitz.

Manchester University offers both undergraduate and graduate tracks in athletic training. Undergraduate students can progress into the MAT program through an accelerated five- or six-year track. Students who already have a bachelor's degree can complete their Master of Athletic Training in just two years. The program includes 32 weeks of immersive clinical education, giving students real-world experience in risk reduction, diagnosis, emergency care, treatment, and rehabilitation.
