Manchester University hosts HCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship

North Manchester, IN (04/29/2024) — Manchester University hosted 10 colleges and universities at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championship on April 26-27.

The event began on Friday at Spartan Stadium at the North Manchester campus and concluded Saturday evening with the awards ceremony. Manchester only hosts the event once every 10 years.

Manchester University earned the title of 2024 HCAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Champions, scoring a total of 223 points. MU fifth-year student Enrique Salazar was named Men's Most Outstanding Distance Athlete of the Year, fifth-year Gabe Hendricks was named Men's Field Athlete of the Year, and first-year Kenneth Redd Jr. was named Men's Newcomer of the Year. The Men's Coaching Staff of the Year went to MU Head Coach Brian Cashdollar and assistant coaches Hannah Didion, Sam Katon and Andre White.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology earned the title of 2024 HCAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Champions. MU junior Carley Camp was named Women's Most Outstanding Throws Athlete of the Year.
