Manchester University Founders Day celebration is Nov. 6
North Manchester, IN (11/01/2023) — Manchester University's celebration of Founders Day is Monday, Nov. 6.
One hundred thirty-four years ago, on Nov. 5, 1889, Roanoke Classical Seminary moved from Roanoke, Indiana, to North Manchester and became North Manchester College.
A parade, featuring the Spartan Pride Marching Band, will begin at 5 p.m. and walk through campus, starting beside Calvin Ulrey Hall and finishing near the Jo Young Switzer Center. Following the parade, the Manchester Chime will play.
The public is welcome to watch the parade and Chime performance at no cost.
