Manchester University esports team partners with Prefire

North Manchester, IN (12/10/2025) — Manchester University's esports team is partnering with Prefire - a company specializing in instant heat pouches to improve gaming performance.

Professional gamers often use generic, disposable hand warmers to improve blood flow and reaction time. Prefire hand warmers are designed specifically for gamers and are compostable, emphasizing both comfort and environmental sustainability.

The team was given 120 free Prefire hand warmers to use at events and while streaming. They will also receive discounted prices on future orders.

With more than 100 students on its roster, esports is one of the largest and fastest-growing groups at Manchester. Team members can earn up to $6,000 per year in esports scholarships.

The team announced its partnership with Gen.G, a global esports and gaming organization, this fall. Students will have the opportunity to travel to Seoul, South Korea, for an intensive three-week program studying in the hearts of the esports industry through the organization's Geng.G Practicum Abroad program.
