Gabrielle Vance of Fishers Named Manchester University Honors Scholarship Recipient

North Manchester, IN (12/19/2025) — Manchester University has announced that Gabrielle Vance of Fishers, Ind., has been selected as a recipient of the University's prestigious Honors Scholarship Award, which covers tuition, fees, on-campus housing, and meal plan expenses for up to four years.

A senior at Hamilton Southeastern High School, Vance ranks 110 out of 823 in her graduating class and has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement. Her honors include being named Student of the Month, membership in the National Honor Society and Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, and earning the Indiana Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. She also placed third at the district level and eighth at the state level in DECA competition.

Vance serves as president of the NextGen STEM Club and is a board member on the Team Advisory Board at the Hamilton East Public Library. She is also a Spanish tutor, a member of the Hamilton Southeastern Leadership Academy, and an active participant in Key Club. Outside the classroom, she is a pickleball enthusiast and currently works as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee at CVS.

Her interest in pharmacy was solidified after completing Honors Chemistry coursework and gaining hands-on experience in the field.

"Pharmacy applies chemistry principles to real-world situations," Vance said. "The field continues to grow each year, and being part of a healthcare team will allow me to exercise my leadership and collaboration skills on a day-to-day basis while working with patients."

Through shadowing pharmacists at CVS, Vance has gained exposure to multiple aspects of the profession, including compounding, vaccinations, and patient counseling.

"A career in pharmacy is exciting because it will allow me to specialize in areas like pediatrics, women's health, or ambulatory care," she said.

Vance said Manchester University's close-knit environment was a key factor in her college decision.

"I know Manchester will be a great fit because the smaller campus and close-knit community will allow me to build lifelong relationships," she said. "Manchester will allow me to grow personally and professionally, preparing me to make a meaningful impact in my community and field."

Vance is the daughter of Beverly and Edward Vance.
