Frankfort senior wins full-ride scholarship to Manchester University

North Manchester, IN (01/13/2025) — Kenzi Jagger, a senior at Frankfort High School in Frankfort, Ind., is this year's recipient of Manchester University's Honors Scholarship.

Initiated in 2021, the scholarship covers tuition, fees, on-campus housing and meal plan expenses for up to four years. Only one is awarded per year.

Jagger, of Lebanon, Ind., has deep roots at Manchester. "I've grown up visiting the campus because my parents and grandparents went there, which caused the campus to feel familiar to me and like home," she said. "It is also close to family and friends, and everyone on campus is very welcoming."

She plans to study elementary education with a focus on mild interventions and special education, as her mother did.

"I'm pursuing higher education because I want to be a special education teacher and because I want to be as educated as possible to help my students and their families make sure they have the best possible education."

A goal of Jagger's is to start a Best Buddies chapter - dedicated to creating opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities - at Manchester.

She intends to begin her Manchester journey in Fall 2025.
