Angola's Villafuerte records Top 15 finish at 2023 NCAA Division III Championships
North Manchester, IN (03/13/2023) — BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Manchester University senior thrower Benjamin Villafuerte, an Angola High School graduate, concluded a stellar indoor track & field season with a 14th place finish at the 2023 NCAA Division III National Championships on Saturday, March 11.
At the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala., Villafuerte competed in the men's shot put and finished off the afternoon with a distance of 15.41 meters. He placed 14th out of 20 throwers on NCAA Division III's biggest stage.
Villafuerte is majoring in exercise science and fitness.
