Enrique Salazar Earns a Spot at the 2023 NCAA Division III XC Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country Committee announced the participants for the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships on Sunday, November 12.
In order to be eligible to participate in the championships, teams and individuals had to qualify in their respective NCAA regional competitions that were held this weekend. Thirty-two teams were selected to participate in each championship. The top seven-person team automatically qualified from each of the 10 regions, for a total of 10 teams. Twenty-two additional teams were selected at-large. Seventy individuals, the first seven student-athletes from each region who are not part of a qualifying team, were selected to participate in each championship.
Enrique Salazar(Plymouth) will represent Manchester University at this year's national championships. Salazar earned All-Great Lakes Region honors on Saturday, November 11 following his performance at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championships. Salazar broke his own school record over the weekend after finishing the race in a time of 23:56.6 for second place.
Salazar will head to Newville, Pa. where Dickinson College will host the championships on Saturday, November 18. The race will take place at Big Spring High School. The men's race begins at 11:00 a.m. and can be seen on www.ncaa.com.
